In 2016, she also created and appeared in Haters Back Off which is a Netflix original series that focuses on the character. Ballinger developed the comically talented, egotistical, and absurd character to mock various YouTube videos of singers who are not performing well in the hope of getting into showbiz. Together her channels on YouTube have garnered more than 5 billion views. Miranda Sings has over 10 million subscribers, and she has over 6 million Instagram followers. Ballinger won a Teen Choice Award for "Web Star: Comedy"and a Streamy Award for Best Actress. 4.
