The third album of his untitled debut is near completion, Ky-mani Marley is certainly a major star in his own right. Ky-mani was born in Falmouth, Jamaica, to Robert Nesta Marley, a legend, and Jamaican champion in table tennis, Anita Belnavis. Ky-mani refers to an East African term meaning adventurous travelers, and as the man who lives true to his name, each album or travel has been an adventure. The Journey was his first musical venture. His diverse vision enabled him to search for his unique style and develop his diverse talents. Many More Roads, a traditional reggae album that was Grammy-nominated in 2001, proved that Ky-mani was a mature artist. Many More Roads and The Journey have been well received across the world. This established Ky-mani's standing as an artist who is independent. Ky-Mani is known for his distinctive blend between hip-hop and R&B along with some modern jazz.
