
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her debut role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. The film also featured her in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico as the daughter of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father, Sigman is a U.S. citizen. The father of her, professional baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career in Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the lead role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the film, which is a Mexican crime drama. The film was nominated as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it didn't make the final list. 9 Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her work as an editor in the film industry in 2011.
