Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright and professor in St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the child of both a British father as well as an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. Anna appeared in several advertisements in her youth. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting. The decade that followed, she eventually moved into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at a Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in the year 2009. Anna had just recently converted to Judaism and the couple married in Fredericton.
