April Ross

April Ross is only one of only a handful of beach volleyball athletes to win medals multiple times at an Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time at the Tokyo Olympics and will attempt to win her third gold medal. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic gold medal. This may be the last time she has the chance to do so at the age of 39. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that if the team plays well or at all it could be able to win gold. This is also an issue of luck. Ross was born August 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She lived there together with her parents. The athletic pursuits she pursued began at Newport Harbor High School where she played in a variety of different sports. She competed in basketball and track, in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements in her time as a college athlete. When she played in the final sport, she clearly stood out. In her own biography in high school, she was a volleyball player as an outside hitter (middle blocker) and the setter (outside blocker). For her efforts she was named an 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. In addition, she was awarded the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play in 2017. But, Ross was an important player in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pair. She has won major competitions with different players. The other has become an icon of the world of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years from 2007 to the year 2013. She also worked with Klineman and herself. Kessy and Ross were an impressive force on the world circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 as a team. The duo were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor took home gold overtaking them. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she retired. The duo won the beach volleyball bronze in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a student athlete for USC Trojans before her pro career. She played during high school and in before hitting the beach professionally. The time she spent at USC was awe-inspiring. The year 2000 was her freshman year. was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of Award and also be named an All-American. The Trojans could also get to the Final Four with her help. The Trojans were devastated through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore years, yet she went on to be an All-American again. Through her last two years as a player, she led the Trojans to the summit of the mountain netting consecutive national championships. As an individual she established herself as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the top female volleyball players at colleges across the nation. Ross majored in international relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the opportunity to see her daughter become a beach volleyball superstar. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. As a result, Ross continues to be close to her deceased parent. In addition, Margie is an ongoing source of encouragement for her on the beach and in life.
