Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She is also the founder of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Originating from Greece she moved to England at the age of sixteen and then was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the famed debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. When she graduated, she made her name as an editorialist for the conservative syndicate and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later she created a voice-based website that offered critical observations about the current political climate. It was her celebrity that helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their thoughts on news as well as politics and culture. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to stand independently for the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th position on their list and in the same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL, Inc. made her the President of their media company in 2011 after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included additional AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalists and consultants in management. Although she had a close relationship to her father, her connection to her mom shaped the course of her entire life. She showed leadership traits from the beginning. At the age of 16 her family moved in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the debate societies in the college and eventually was its first female and foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. Her professional career as a journalist and television host started after her graduation. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own novels with his assistance.
